What makes a product eco-friendly?

The products listed on our site that have been designated as eco-friendly will be constructed of materials that are made from sustainable, organic or recycled sources. You can learn more about these fabric materials below.

Are these more expensive?

In some cases, eco-friendly fabrics are a bit more expensive but, in a lot of our products, they are quite comparable to similar quality products made from other fabrics. By choosing to use eco-friendly products in your next order, we will help drive the industry towards more sustainable fabrics, which will lead to a decrease in overall costs along an increase with the quality and variety of options available.

about the fabrics

Bamboo

Naturally sustainable bamboo is soft, light and translucent making it the next generation in textile fibres. Bamboo is naturally moisture wicking without the need for chemical treatments.

Furthermore, bamboo is hypo-allergenic and UV resistant.

Organic Cotton

Organic cotton is grown from non-genetically modified plants, and without the use of any synthetic agricultural chemicals such as fertilizers or pesticides, aside from the ones allowed by the certified organic labeling.

Recycled Polyester

Recycled polyester, also known as rPET, is obtained by melting down existing plastic and re-spinning it into new polyester fibers. Most commonly, rPET is created from recycled bottles and other plastic consumer packaging.

Just to give an example, five soda bottles yield enough fiber for one extra large T-shirt.
